Abstract

Intrapreneurship – the ability to develop and implement innovative ideas within an existing organization – is a key driver of progress in the scientific and industrial sectors. We will explore how scientists can become intrapreneurs by solving industry challenges, improving processes, and developing new technologies. The session will discuss essential intrapreneurial skills such as creative problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, project management, and persuasive communication.

Bio

Émily Cloutier serves as the Development Advisor for Scientific and Technological Entrepreneurship at Université Laval. Formerly a clinal medical physicist and researcher specializing in scintillation and Cherenkov dosimetry, she successfully completed a clinical residency in radiation oncology physics at McGill University. Transitioning to her current role, Émily has undertaken the mission to catalyze the expansion of technological and scientific entrepreneurship within the university’s Faculty of Science and Engineering.
